Mayumi Okabayashi
Mayumi Okabayashi has been working out of Berlin for more than 10 years, since relocating there in 2006. Though her exhibitions have mainly taken place in Europe to date, this show will mark her second solo exhibition in Japan since 2016. Here she will present works made during an artist residency in Switzerland, where she stayed for 3 months from summer to autumn of 2017, as well as painted stones - which she collected on the coast of Gotland, Sweden - from her “Breath of the Earth” series. Approximately 15 works selected by the artist herself will be on exhibit.
