Several motifs are layered upon each other. In the sky swim fish and in the ocean colorful flowers bloom. Teppei Ikehila foregoes sketches and shows little concern for a unified motif as he single-mindedly paints each layer. Ikehila paints “as if the entire scene is living from edge to edge as if it were a scene from nature”.
