Koei Iijima’s photo collections “Danryu” (Warm Currents), documenting the Yaeyama Islands of Okinawa, and “Kanryu” (Cold Currents) showing the snowy region of Tsugaru, depict areas some of Japan’s most extreme climates. Traditional ways of life that have left their environments unspoiled continue in these places. 45 works from both black and white series compiled over 40 years are on display. The books will also be available for purchase.
