Zai Nomura
Zai Nomura’s photographs presented here focus on disappearing substances. The matter that forms the subject of his works loses shape through liquefaction, evaporation and other processes, causing visible outlines to fluctuate and eventually fade away. For this reason the substances can be considered as subjects rather than objects, moving and changing as if organisms in a process that ends with “death.” See how through photography Nomura is able to give material form to unstable matter.
