Over the last few years, social networking services such as LINE, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. have become a part of our daily lives. Social media has become such a part of our lives that we forget just a few years ago that none of these services existed. For this event, six popular artists- actress Nonon, social media star Yukos, illustrator Ken Koyama, illustrator and columnist Mineko Nomachi, novelist Moegara, and photographer Hideaki Hamada- have collaborated to show not only their own work but selected work from over 2000 Instagram/Twitter posts under the hashtag “WhatIfThereWereNoSNS”. Also on display will be work from poet Tahi Saihate, illustrator Misaki Tanaka, “Millieu” editor-in-chief Mai Shiotani, artist UMMMI., writer and visual artist Marina Fujiwara, and designer Kanae Higashi.
