“KnowSnowNorth – Artists from the North”

Roonee 247 Fine Arts
Finished

Artists

Kumiko Ishikawa, Yasukazu Takihana, Yotaro Toyama
A craft exhibition by three artists based in Hakodate, Hokkaido. Kumiko Ishikawa uses crayon to add a gentle touch to her charming ceramics. Yasukazu Takihana’s scrap iron multimedia works and drawings demonstrate the contemporary artist’s original aesthetic. Yotaro Toyama uses traditional hand-carving techniques to create accessories with a warm, quiet beauty. Like flakes falling in snowy Hokkaido, no two of their works are the same.
