The word “drawing” is an extension of the English word “draw,” which refers to the actions of making lines or marks. In the field of art and design there are many others specialist words that are used instead of drawing, such as sketching, rendering, drafting, illustrating, tracing, but they all essentially refer to the same thing, just approaching it with different intentions. This exhibition presents drawings that depict the individual artists’ thoughts, giving shape to that which can’t be seen, and concrete form to abstract concepts.
