Saya Okubo
Saya Okubo just finished her Master’s Degree at Kyoto University of Art and Design in 2017 and this is her first solo exhibition. Okubo describes her art-making as “an act of exploring the existence of things and human beings within flat spaces.” In her paintings, symbolic images represented by outlines intertwine with materially based images depicting phenomena. This exhibition presents 14 brand new paintings in different sizes.
