Yuji Maehata
Yuji Maehata uses images from magazines, ads, and the internet repackaging within the framework of nihonga or painting. Works on exhibition include used frames decorated with fonts and logos that evoke Japan and other countries, and “Practice”, a series of works consisting of replicas based on artwork of unknown origins.
