Aesthetics of Shinzo Fukuhara - Shinzo Fukuhara, Assemble, and The Eugene Studio
Ends in 58 days
Photographer Shinzo Fukuhara (1883-1948) believed that artistic beauty was created by transcending fields and combining genres such as painting and photography or photography and poetry. He also believed in the importance of open and free spaces where artists could share and exchange ideas.
This project is a collaboration between Shinzo Fukuhara, UK-based architecture group Assemble, and Japan-based artist studio The Eugene Studio spanning 100 years. Assemble and The Eugene Studio have created a space/platform resulting in a dialogue between us today and Fukuhara’s creative aesthetic.
For the 1st period, The Eugene Studio created the content while Assemble prepared the overall physical space. The 2nd period will feature a workshop based on Assemble’s award-winning Granby Workshop.
