Artists

Yusuke Nishimura
Yusuke Nishimura is an artist who uses natural materials such as honey and beeswax to express the relationship between the memory and time that places embody. Since 2006 he has been focusing on his project yamajiorimono * works, working out of a defunct textile factory in Kiryu City, Gunma prefecture. This exhibition presents some of his current activities carried out at yamajiorimono * works, reproducing the sense of time manifest in the factory space using honey, and translating this flow of time to the gallery setting. In addition, he will look back over works he has produced to date, introducing these through around 2,000 photographic materials. Discover Nishimura’s unique world where the past, present and future blend together in one space.
