This event has ended.

Jishu Gakko was Kawasaki City’s first private junior high school. It was founded in 1885 by Anranku Temple head Bunzan Munezawa, who wanted to create “a place of learning for local people.” Its alumni include the writer Yukinosuke Onuki and other important local figures. This exhibition looks back on the school’s achievements through journals kept by Munezawa for more than 40 years.
