In the autumn of every odd year, the Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava (BIB), a competition of children’s book illustration, is held in the Slovakian capital. This exhibition has on display the prize-winning works including the overall winner, alongside Japanese entries from the 26th BIB held in 2017. Countries take part in BIB after completing a national selection process. Here we highlight in a special display the particularly striking trends seen across some of the 49 participating countries in BIB2017.
