Naoki Koide and 15 Kings and Queens - Enriching the Creativity of Children

Tokyo Shibuya Koen-dori Gallery
Finished

Artists

Naoki Koide et al.
Sculptor Naoki Koide has built a place for children to enrich their creativity at Kodomo Mirai En’s art class. Just as Koide usually produces his artworks made of a wide range of materials, he encourages children to use a variety of media such as clay, pencils and soil - as well as the artist himself - to boost their spontaneity. Koide and each of the children interact with each other in creative moments in order to pursue their own unique ideas and interests.
This exhibition will trace the process of how 15 children worked together with Koide to expand their creativity.
