Kakiden Gallery
Finished

Artists

Chiharu Kon
It has been 38 years since veteran potter Chiharu Kon started his own kiln in his hometown of Nagaoka after studying under pottery legend Kiyoaki Tsuji. Kon’s Shigaraki ware is pure and exudes a youthful strength in defiance of the artist’s 67 years. His first exhibition at this gallery in three years will showcase recent works including tea bowls and dishware.
