Miyuki Takenaka
Miyuki Takenaka’s works blend softly into their environments, be they public spaces or private homes. Takenaka began her career with her “Seeds” series painted in soft colors with skillful use of margins. Since then, her practice has revolved around resin works. Here she presents a film series she has continued for the past 13 years. At random she exposes the film to light, adding color and creating layers to reveal light and things exposed by it that we ordinarily would not see, visualizing her subjects through the medium of film.
