Artists

Mineko Orisaku
Under the theme “the beauty of permanence and transience”, Mineko Orisaku’s first solo exhibition at Wako will showcase original works of photographs on gold and platinum leaf or combined with acrylics. Orisaku was born in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan’s leading producer of gold leaf. Unlike sculpture or painting, photographs are more susceptible to changes in environment and less permanent than other mediums of art. However, using the latest technologies, Orisaku has been able to print photos on gold and platinum, giving the photos a permanence. This exhibition will feature works from her series of photographs infused with colors and photographs printed onto acrylic boards in the motif of flowers.
