The 6th FACE (Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Art Award) exhibition saw the entry of works from 970 emerging artists in their 20s through their 70s from across Japan. Jury members have selected 71 works of international appeal through a process of time-consuming consideration. The Grand Prix Award-winning work will become a part of the museum’s collection and shown at the next FACE exhibition. Additionally, one Grand Prix Award winner and three Excellent Work Award winners for each year of the competition will exhibit their works at a group show of 12 artists to be held every three years. An Audience Award will also be given out.
