Tokushichi Yamaoka
Tokushichi Yamaoka is known for the striking compositions and playful use of color in his watercolor and magic marker landscapes depicting nature in his native Ehime Prefecture. Yamaoka also displayed a passion for education in the postwar era, establishing a children’s art school that taught more than 2,000 pupils. His first exhibition outside of Ehime displays 25 works, including pieces that had once gone missing.
