Portraits depicting the likeness of people have a long history in the arts. This exhibition showcases 110 works from all eight departments of the Louvre Museum. On exhibit in Japan after a 27-year hiatus will be Venetian master Paolo Veronese’s masterpiece “Portrait of a Venetian Woman”, ancient Egyptian masks that adorned coffins, portraits of sovereigns such as popes and Napoleon, portraits of beautiful women and adorable children, and more.
