Artists

Hideo Murakami
The Gifu-born artist Hideo Murakami is probably best known amongst those in their 60s-80s. Murakami debuted to much acclaim in 1963. Sadly, he would lose his home and atelier to a fire in 1997 and would never again pick up a brush, passing away just this July. This exhibition will showcase Murakami’s paintings of Tokyo from the 1960s and his later works of Paris and Rome.
