Takashi Hiraide (b. 1950) is a writer known for his many poetry collections and the international best-selling novel “The Guest Cat.” Besides writing, in recent years Hiraide has been exploring publishing and printing as artistic media. For this exhibition Hiraide applies his unique perspective to the various forms of artistic dialogue emerging from the interconnections of language and art. Donald Evans, Mitsuo Kano, On Kawara, and Ikko Narahara are among the artists whose works are explored in a new light through words and published materials relating to them. Architect Jun Aoki has designed the displays.
