The new contemporary art gallery Eukaryote will open on March 2, 2018 (Friday) but before the official opening date, this exhibition featuring the work of 12 artists will be held as a preview event. The artists who will participate include those who used to be represented by the gallery’s predecessor Sezon Art Gallery, such as photographer Kazuto Ishikawa and painter Soichi Yamaguchi. The current artist collective represents a shore of catharsis, and includes Dan Isomura, Junya Ogawa, Keisuke Katsuki, Haruna Shinagawa, Natsuki Takayama, Ryosuke Tanaka, Haruya Nakajima, Taishi Hatayama and Yang Bo. This group exhibition will give you a sense of the direction that Eukaryote wishes to take, which is to be beyond conventional boundaries and genres of art, and to be centered on young artists in their 20s.
