The Water and Land Niigata Art Festival launched in 2009 is held once every three years in Niigata City. Focusing on the environments and culture shaped by water and land, this year the art festival returns for a fourth time to explore the natural elements of “earth, water, fire, and wind” through vibrant artworks that speak to history and the endeavors of humanity. Exhibits take place at multiple venues around the city.
