Kazuhiro Nomura + Kenji Shibata “Her Fingertips and Legend”

Harmas Gallery
Finished

Artists

Kazuhiro Nomura, Kenji Shibata
This exhibition is a collaboration between Kazuhiro Nomura, whose paintings and installations examine the meaning and functions of materials, and Kenji Shibata, who produces paintings with a mysterious sense of space that seems to simultaneously recede and protrude from the picture surface. What is common to their practice is the theme of “uncertain entities.”
Here Nomura presents installations featuring earrings and stools, while Shibata exhibits smooth mirror-like paintings that reflect the appearance of the viewer. The exhibition is jointly produced by Harmas Gallery and Artto’s educational program “Curation Practice.”
