Making the Difference: Vermeer and Dutch Art

Ueno Royal Museum
Finished

Artists

Johannes Vermeer
Dutch golden age master Johannes Vermeer (1632-1675) is beloved the world over but sadly only 35 of his works remain today. Eight of those works will be exhibited at this exhibition, making this the most extensive Vermeer exhibition in Japan to date. In addition to Vermeer’s works never before shown in Japan will be around 50 works by other 17th century Dutch masters.
