Kim Taek-Sang
Kim Taek sang was born in Seoul, Korea in 1958. He took a B.F.A. at the College of Fine Art, Chungang University in Seoul in 1985 and an M.F.A. at the College of Fine Art, Hongik University in Seoul in 1987. He is currently living in Ilsan, near Seoul, and regularly holds exhibitions inside and outside Korea. In recent years he has become one of the most important artists to introduce Korean abstract painting in foreign countries, holding the exhibition “Empty Fullness” in Beijing, Shanghai, Berlin, Jakarta and Buenos Aires. Created deliberately with plenty of time, covered with soft and gentle colors, his works give the sense or notion of “maturity” or “ripeness” to the viewer. For his sixth exhibition in Japan, Taguchi Fine Art focuses on works with delicate layers of color.
