2017 Press Photograhy Exhibition

Newspark - The Japan Newspaper Museum
Finished
2016 was full of monumental events, such as the achievements of world class athletes in sporting events such as athletics, soccer, gymnastics and skating, the consecutive victories of junior high school-aged professional shogi (Japanese chess) players, or the birth of a panda at Tokyo’s Ueno Zoo.
This exhibition will present historical moments captured by photographers at the forefront of the action. Look back over 2017 with these images and see how each of the photojournalists has used their technical expertise to record key moments in time. Approximately 300 works have been selected from among the mass of press photographs featured during 2017 in the 33 newspapers, correspondence agencies and broadcasters affiliated with the Tokyo Press Photographers Association.
