Akihisa Hirata
Akihisa Hirata views architecture as a “creative life-giving activity” and has worked to create architecture that takes plant life, animal life, and the climate into consideration. Hirata believes any piece of architecture should be more than a solitary structure and be a part of the entire living world. The “Discovering New” exhibition expresses the current state of Hirata’s architecture, looking back on the past 10 years of projects.
