This event has ended.

Shun Shimoosawa makes artworks in order to seek out how to connect with the past. He believes that a town artificially developed based on rationality severs people who live there from the past and makes nature artificial. This time, he has made artworks researching the Komatsugawa area in Tokyo. Located along the Arakawa River, Komatsugawa is a model case of a high standard levee maintenance project, also called “super levee.” Gathering people to eat “nagashi somen” (flowing noodles), this exhibition is an attempt to focus on the future in order to dig into the past.
