Maruki Gallery for the Hiroshima Panels
Finished

Artists

Kosai Hori, Erize Hori
Kosai Hori and Erize Hori are a contemporary art duo formed in 2011. They critique the recent spate of celebratory events in Japan, such as next year’s Olympic and Paralympic Games and the 2025 Osaka Expo, wondering what might be hidden beneath these occasions, while also forging visions for the new age. Kosai Horie has been an artist since the late-1960s and has performed in collaboration with Erize Hori since the late-1970s. This exhibition focuses on the activities of the two from 2011 through the present.
