Presenting works from a project reconsidering the prehistoric civilization of Jomon (literally, “rope culture”), known for its rope-patterned pottery. The artists have attempted to create a “new Jomon art” by creating cross-patterned rope sculptures for the home while involving their families and documenting the process. They also visited Shinshu, a region renowned for its rope-making.
