Creation Kids Lab 2019
This event has ended.
Following the inaugural program conducted last year, this summer the gallery will again host a series of workshops for young children: “Creation Kids Lab 2019.” This year’s theme will be the “furoshiki,” the quintessential Japanese wrapping cloth with a long and rich history of usage in Japan. The workshops will cover three interrelated aspects of the furoshiki on separate days: designing, dyeing and wrapping.
What is perhaps the furoshiki’s greatest appeal is its simplicity: a square piece of cloth that invites unlimited ideas and endless possibilities for using it. Through the workshops, we hope to provide children with an opportunity to experience, together with their instructor, the fun of learning, discovery and creation.
