Minefuyu Yamashita has been photographing Okinawa from land, sea and air for nearly nine years, observing painting-like landscapes on these southern islands he had never seen before. Light floats up from the deep blue and reflects within the rough seas with brilliance only someone living in Okinawa could know. In these images he captures this beauty still unknown by the outside world.
