Noritaka Tatehana
Noritaka Tatehana takes inspiration from Japanese culture, redefining it for the current era with new perspectives. His craftsmanship incorporating detailed handiwork takes many forms not limited to painting and sculpture. The subject of this exhibition is “Japanese views of death.” It debuts 225 handmade arrows. This is a very rare chance to see a show comprised of entirely new works. At the same time, the exhibition traces Tatehana’s trajectory as an artist since he came out with his heel-less shoes as a student ten years ago. The 1F floor window of the Pola Ginza Building also displays Tatehana’s works.
