1968: Art in the Turbulent Age

Shizuoka Prefectural Museum of Art
Finished
Held as a turning point in 20th-century history, 1968 likewise marked a pivotal year in modern art. This retrospective held just over 50 years later shows how the state of art stood then. Modern art broadened its range to include design, architecture, theater, dance, music, film and manga. Video and photography also expanded the diversity of art in this fiery age, reflected upon here in some 400 artworks and displays.
