Risa Tsunegi’s new exhibition at The Container, “Causality and Synchronicity,” explores associative connections between notions that seem coincidental and between occurrences that relate directly to action, facilitated through cause and effect. This philosophical tension between the casual and acasual helps Tsunegi to explore ideas of beauty and nature in context of humans’ innate bodily and cerebral functions, and the distraction and relief of those realities through escapism.
