Featuring the work of Yoshimasa Tsuchiya (b. 1977), a Yokosuka-based wood carver known for his sculptures of animals. A Tokyo University of the Arts graduate who studied restoration, Tsuchiya creates endearing and innocent creatures and mythological beasts such as unicorns and quilt. Eight of his works are displayed in Gallery 8. The work of ink painting artist Kanuemon Asai and printmaker Shozo Shimada, newly aquired , are also exhibited.
