S/F - Photography, or a Monolith after 200 years

KayokoYuki
Finished
The Monolith promotes the evolution of humankind from ape to human through the invisible power that the huge vertical slab produces. In the science fiction film ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’, a mysterious object, the Monolith appears.

In 2019, our real world society is in turmoil as if it is actually under the influence of the supposedly science-fiction Monolith. Humans evolved from apes but now seem to be progressing towards extinction.

It has been about 200 years since photography began recording our world on small slab-like plates. Here in this world where reality and fiction are intertwined, these modern artists have created photographic works under the concept of the fictional Monolith.
