Artists

Kaj Franck
One of the most esteemed designers from Finland, Kaj Franck (1911-1989) has been called “the good conscience of Finnish design” for bringing into the world a range of everyday items rich with functional beauty. This exhibition, his first major solo show in Japan, will display around 150 of his key works presenting a complete picture of Franck as a designer. Also on display, photographs Franck took himself during a visit to Japan in the 1950s and other materials that shine a light on the intrigue he felt towards Japan.
