The Yamatane Museum of Art opened in 1966 in Nihonbashi, moving to its current location in Hiroo in October of 2009. In commemoration of a decade since moving to Hiroo, the museum is holding an exhibition celebrating 130 years since the birth of Nihonga painter Togyu Okumura (1889-1990). The exhibition will feature around 60 of Okumura’s work including the artist’s most renown pieces such as ’Naruto’ and ‘Daigo’.
