Kosho Ito (b. 1932), a tenth-generation ceramicist, is known for his earthen dry-lacquer sculptures that depart from tradition and reexamine artistic concepts. New sculptures exploring ideas of pleating are exhibited along with paper works and a new installation of photographs.
