This year will mark 20 years since Kawasaki City received 2000 pieces of work from artist Taro Okamoto and opened the doors of the Taro Okamoto Museum of Art. Over the past 20 years, the museum has held over 60 special exhibitions. The first period of this two-part commemorative exhibition will trace the career of Okamoto along with exhibiting the works of his closest peers.
