Artists

Mariano Fortuny
Mariano Fortuny (1871-1949) became the darling of the early 20th-century fashion world with his light and supple ‘Delphos’ (a silk gown decorated with delicate pleats). With the full cooperation of the Fortuny Museum in Venice, this museum showcases the dresses he is known for along with paintings, prints, photographs, and documents bringing insight into his work. The exhibition covers the entire life and career of the Grenada-born, Rome and Paris-raised artist who eventually found success in Venice.
