René Lalique
Introducing the work of the much-admired jewelry and glass artist René Lalique, a leader of the Art Deco movement whose creations were featured at the 1900 Paris Expo and the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes. In 1932, he contributed a glass relief door and a chandelier to the Asaka Imperial Residency (the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum today). This exhibition of pieces from the Unimat Collection features Lalique’s jewelry from the late-19th and early-20th century along with glasswork from his late years.
