Hideyuki Nagasawa started his “When I Was Born” series in 2015, creating an Amami edition in 2017 followed by a Kobe edition. For the 25th anniversary of the Great Hanshin Earthquake that devastated Kobe, this exhibition presents Nagasawa’s collection of photographs, artwork, and texts starting with the phrase “When I Was Born.” The works shed light on the past, present, and future of Kobe.
