Graphic Design and Co-Creation with AI

Tokyo Midtown Design Hub
Finished
What possibilities arise out of co-creation between graphic design and AI? The Japan Graphic Designers Association has been running verification tests using machine learning and algorithmic methods to seek out advances and possibilities in graphic design in the near future.
This exhibition presents progress on the testing, as well as selected examples close to the graphic design field from among broad-ranging AI research.
Works are presented that search for possibilities in co-creation with AI, such as posters and Alphabet fonts that record the process by which AI creates images according to certain predetermined rules, compositions based on sheet music learning, story-generation using manga, and visualization of feeling analysis using Google API.
