Ikat Textiles from the World

Ikat is an ancient resist dyeing technique practiced around the world. Separately dyed threads are woven together to create intricate geometrical patterns with warps in dual directions. This exhibition presents examples of it textiles from 20 countries including Japan and other nations in Asia, Europe, and Africa.
