Sesson Uno
Sesson Uno (born in 1912 in Hyogo Prefecture) is considered a leading figure in the post-war calligraphic art scene. Uno studies classical Chinese calligraphy as the basis of calligraphy but incorporated techniques beyond that foundation, such as using the Roman alphabet in the titles of his work. This exhibition is a reexamination of both post-war calligraphy and the wider Japanese contemporary art scene.
