“Visual Futurist” Syd Mead is an international industrial designer who has influenced countless other creators and works of art. This exhibition selects 150 original illustrations from throughout his career, including some making their global debut. This is Mead’s third exhibition in Japan but his first in 34 years. In addition to a well-considered selection of illustrations from his extensive archives, it features a special four-part display curated especially for Japan on the themes “Progressions,” “The Movie Art,” “TYO Special,” and “Memories of the Future.”
